About

This weblog is a collection of high school experiences which I author myself. The experiences were all dictated to me by various students.

Also, I want to explain the reason I chose to name this weblog “off-the-record stories.” So, it has been pointed out to me that these stories aren’t technically off-the-record once I publish them here. But that’s missing the point. When something is told to a reporter “off-the-record,” that something is told in confidence. The interviewee is trusting the reporter to keep that information with understanding and respect. So the stories that are shared here are meant to reflect the same trust and confidence. I share these stories (and don’t worry, each of the interviewees know I’m publishing their tales) so that any viewer can take that story and use it to learn something about themselves. So, I’m using that same element of trust with the readers of this weblog as someone would when they say, “off-the-record.”

Enjoy.
